The Gumgali track is a culturally significant ridge-line connecting the inland valleys to the ocean at Coffs Harbour, which forms a crescent defined by green, white and blue. Twenty self-sufficient cabins centred around a communal space for yarning and community engagement. Inspired by the local traditional Gumbaynggirr stories while responding to the sites’ topography, the building aims to prioritise landscape spaces which in turn will provide opportunities to impart knowledge in a traditional way.
