The former site of Tetleys Ice works connecting two streets with one storey fall, we conceived the project as a cart carrying melting ice blocks, a literal image of the buildings past. The two ground floor spaces contained retail and offices in order to interact with the street pedestrian traffic. The upper floors allowed apartments to capture city views and access light and ventilation, using courtyards and terraces as break-out spaces. The apartments are conceived as a two-storey plan using the roof space from the upper storey, maximising prospect over the western side of Sydney city.
